lookingback_ic | Challenge 4: Family Quote

This week, we'll have a text challenge, in which you MUST use the following quote to inspire your icon.

The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck

You DO NOT have to use the text in your icon, but the quote MUST be inspiration for your icon. There will be a bonus category for voting if you DO use the quote, Best Use of Text. So, a little extra incentive!

Should you use the quote, you MUST use at least 3 consecutive words. For example, kissing to heal is fine, but little band is not enough. Make sense?

This round, you may use ANY images you find that fits the quote. They can be from any time period, as long as it makes sense for the theme. Have fun and be creative!

RULES:
- You may enter up to 5 (five) icons for this challenge.
- Only members may enter.
- The same cap may be used more than once provided the crop is significantly different.
- Use any images that interpret the family quote.

- All icons must fit LJ req's: 100 x 100, 40k, and PNG, JPG or GIF format.
- Animation, brushes, text, textures, any birthday-themed images are allowed.
- All icons must be original to THIS challenge.
- Icons must remain anonymous until after voting.
