Challenge 1: Community Icon

Our first challenge! :D We'll start off with a special challenge, to make icons for the community to use.

This round will be very open-ended. As listed in the rules of the comm, challenges will primarily focus on the twentieth century, occasionally dipping into other centuries. To encourage entries and creativity, for this round, you may make icons representing any year/time period/era UP TO 1999, however, ONE icon MUST be from the twentieth century (1900-1999). More, or all, may be representative of this time, but one is the only requirement. No icons with images or text after the twentieth century, though!

The other important element is that somewhere on the icon the community name, lookingback_ic, MUST be included. Other text is fine, just make sure we have the name in there.

Feel free to use the links provided for some good image resources. If you have a good resource site or journal and would like to be added to our links list, please message the mod, djmustangsally.

RULES:
- You may enter up to 5 (five) icons for this challenge.
- Only members may enter.
- The same cap may be used more than once provided the crop is significantly different.
- Use ANY images or text from ANY time period prior to 1999.
- Icons MUST include the community name.

the usual, but please remember:
- All icons must fit LJ req's: 100 x 100, 40k, and PNG, JPG or GIF format.
- Animation, brushes, textures, text are allowed.
- All icons must be original to THIS challenge.
- Icons must remain anonymous until after voting.
- Submit your icons to THIS post in a screened comment with URL and image.



- Icons due Sunday, February 20 at 10 pm EST

Normally, we'll run on a one-week schedule, but this being our first challenge and not quite having ten members as of this posting, we'll let it run two weeks.
